We're seeking highly motivated and talented Data Engineers to join our team as interns. As a Data Scientist Intern at IBM, you'll work on real-world projects that drive business outcomes and contribute to the development of AI, machine learning, and data analytics solutions. - Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard data integration tools such as Informatica (On-Premise and Cloud), and exposure to platforms like AWS, Snowflake, and Oracle databases.
- Participate in real-world projects involving complex data transformation and integration workflows.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from seasoned data engineers to enhance both technical expertise and professional development.
- ETL Development & Data Integration: Support the design, development, and maintenance of data integration workflows using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and methodologies. Assist in the migration of ETL processes from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based platforms.
- Data Quality Assurance: Contribute to data cleansing, validation, and verification activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Participate in testing workflows post-migration to confirm successful deployment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various teams across the organization to support data-related initiatives.
- Process Documentation: Help document data integration processes, logic, test outcomes, and improvement suggestions to ensure knowledge sharing and process transparency.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid understanding of SQL and Python—strong analytical and algorithmic thinking is highly valued.
- Familiarity with database structures and design principles.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of data engineering and data integration.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts such as normalization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for working with data.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English, nice to have: French, German
