Network Engineer

We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization's desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

The Network Field Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining network infrastructure through installation, troubleshooting, and repair of networking equipment. This role involves working with diverse types of network equipment, performing site surveys, managing equipment inventory, and facilitating communication between teams. The Network Field Engineer will ensure compliance with network standards and support operational initiatives.

2) Responsibilities and Duties

Cable and Installation:

Install and maintain Ethernet and fiber cabling as per TIA-568 standards.

Manage physical network components including routers, switches, and modems.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Execute break/fix activities, including equipment repairs and replacements.

Perform WAN/LAN/WLAN troubleshooting and wireless LAN surveys.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain network documentation using tools like MS Visio.

Run network reports and support inventory management. Individuals with PowerBI and any automation tool skillset will be advantageous.

Collaboration:

Act as a liaison with the operations team, escalation points, and vendors.

Participate in various initiatives such as capacity management and project work.

Demonstrated continuous improvement, proactiveness and innovative mindset.

Coverage:

Attend to all support within Singapore.

Extended remote support to rest of the locations in Asia.

3) Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with networking tools and software (SecureCRT, PUTTY).

Experience with network hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Experience in Python scripting will be advantageous.
