🚀 About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Data Scientist with a passion for Generative AI. You'll join a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analytics translators, working on internal AI applications that drive real business impact in The AI & Cybersecurity Centre.

This is a hands-on role covering the full AI project lifecycle. From scoping and prototyping to deployment. You’ll work across business, IT, and data teams to bring GenAI use cases into production, with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and governance.

🎯 What You’ll Do

• Design and build GenAI applications using state-of-the-art tools like LangChain/LangGraph, Azure AI Services, and Python
• Translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions
• Move from prototype to production with the support of IT and engineering teams
• Identify impactful use cases via data exploration and visualisation
• Present insights clearly and confidently to cross-functional stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with business experts, data engineers, and other data scientists
• Follow internal AI governance and best practices

🎓 Your Background

• Master’s or PhD in AI, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in data science, ideally within a business context

🧠 Your Skill Set

• Strong Python coding skills with DevOps/CI-CD and Git proficiency
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native AI tools
• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph or similar GenAI frameworks
• Skilled in the full AI project lifecycle:
• Problem scoping
• Data exploration
• Feature engineering
• Model building
• Deployment to production
• Solid understanding of modern AI & statistical methods

• Comfortable working autonomously and managing project delivery
• Strong communicator with the ability to bridge technical and business teams
• Telecom experience is a bonus
