Job Mission

Within the Applications business line, the YieldStar Software Development & Engineering (D&E) groups focus on the development of sophisticated machine algorithm software. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of software development in C#, contributing to the YieldStar software platform. Development is carried out using the SAFe Agile methodology.

Job Description

As part of the YS Software Applications team, you will be involved in implementing complex machine algorithms. Within the Scrum team, you’ll proactively handle user stories and work closely with the Scrum Master (Team Lead), Function Cluster Architect, and Product Owner (Project Lead). You’ll collaborate with fellow software engineers and engage with representatives from Customer Support and Manufacturing.

In your role as a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll bring both technical expertise and a proactive mindset to deliver high-quality software in a structured Agile environment. Your responsibilities will span requirements definition (user stories), object-oriented analysis and design, C# implementation, testing, and integration into the YieldStar platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an active Scrum team member within a SAFe Agile organization
• Take full ownership of feature and story-level software development
• Align technical specifications with functional teams and platform leads
• Ensure high standards of software and product quality
• Design, develop, test, and document software solutions
• Collaborate in pair-programming and peer-review sessions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile practices across the department
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues across R&D and operational support teams (e.g., Customer Support)

Education

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in object-oriented development for high-tech/technical software systems
• 5+ years of experience with C# and recent .NET frameworks
• 3+ years working in Agile/Scrum environments; SAFe experience is a plus
• Strong background in software design patterns for building robust and maintainable solutions
• Demonstrated ability to implement complex machine algorithms using mathematical insight
• Proven track record of mentoring and coaching junior software engineers
• Preferred: Experience with image processing and numerical algorithms
• Preferred: Familiarity with SEMI standard interfaces, such as SECS
