About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our global UX/UI engineering team, responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and accessible user interfaces across multiple product lines. You will work closely with the Director of UX/UI Design to ensure alignment between engineering and design execution, elevate our UI development standards, and support a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who deeply values the craft of frontend development, cares about user experience, and can guide a team through both strategic decisions and implementation details.

What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and grow a distributed team of UX/UI engineers supporting multiple enterprise product lines.
- Mentor and develop engineers across levels, fostering a culture of ownership, craft, collaboration, and inclusion.
- Set and enforce high standards for frontend architecture, design fidelity, and code quality.
- Partner closely with UX/UI Design to translate concepts into polished, responsive, and performant UIs.
- Encourage healthy design-dev collaboration, rapid prototyping, and iterative delivery.
- Help the team navigate ambiguity in early-stage product work and contribute meaningfully to discovery.
- Provide technical direction and ensure adherence to modern UI development practices (semantic HTML, accessibility, responsive design, design token systems).
- Maintain and scale a component library (e.g., Storybook) as a shared source of truth across engineering and design.
- Drive performance optimization, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility from day one.
- Support build-vs-buy decision making to avoid unnecessary reinvention.
- Advocate for scalable abstractions and tooling improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, platform engineering, and security to ensure frontend initiatives align with product and compliance goals.
- Proven experience leading frontend or UI engineering teams, including hiring, performance coaching, and career development.
- Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue or similar), responsive frameworks, and frontend tooling.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with design teams using tools like Figma, particularly features like Dev Mode and design token integration.
- Strong understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG) and how to bake them into the development process.
- Experience with managing and evolving a shared component library (e.g., Storybook, Bit.dev).
- Familiarity with advanced data visualization libraries and patterns (e.g., D3, Recharts, Sankey diagrams, node graphs).
- Experience working with enterprise SaaS products and navigating complex product ecosystems.
- Awareness of evolving frontend-design workflows, including semantic variable schema creation and cross-team token syncing.
