Job Title: Senior Process Engineer – Carbon Capture
Location: Oslo, Norway
Contract: 12 months
Start: Immediate — must be available to commence at short notice
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a key carbon capture project. You’ll lead process design, optimization, and implementation, working closely with a talented multidisciplinary team to help deliver sustainable solutions. This is an immediate requirement — candidates must be available to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and optimize process engineering designs for carbon capture units.
- Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, and mass and energy balances.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot engineering solutions across all project phases.
- Liaise with engineering teams, vendors, and clients to keep schedules on track.
- Support equipment specification, selection, and process optimization.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and Norwegian safety and environmental regulations.
Your Experience
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years’ process engineering experience, with proven expertise in carbon capture projects.
- Previous project experience in Norway, with a strong understanding of Norwegian standards and regulatory requirements.
- Skilled with process design tools and simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Available to commence work immediately.
