PHP Developer

We're working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Roncq who are currently looking for a PHP Developer with Magento experience to strengthen their internal digital team. You’ll join a business that’s scaling fast, investing in smart technology and with a strong focus on engineering.

Currently they have a range of new projects focused across the e-commerce and manufacturing space and are looking to increase their headcount with quality to improve these.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Magento 2 modules, themes, and extensions to support production and e-commerce needs
• Work on integrations with external systems (ERP, PIM, logistics APIs, payment gateways) using REST and GraphQL
• Refactor and optimize legacy PHP code into more modern and scalable architecture (ideally Symfony-based)
• Improve performance at both the frontend and backend (e.g., Varnish, Redis, Magento indexing, lazy loading)
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and frontend engineers to deliver responsive experiences
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in staging and production environments; participate in release cycles and version control (Git) workflows

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with Magento 2 (custom dev, extension dev, theme building)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented PHP, with bonus points for experience in Symfony or Laravel
• Comfortable with frontend tools: JavaScript, HTML5, SASS, and frameworks like Vue.js or React
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, composer, and version control using Git
• Good understanding of web performance, caching strategies (e.g., Varnish, Redis), and database optimization (MySQL)
• Able to work independently on complex tasks but thrive in cross-functional collaboration
