Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Global Technical Security Engineer with deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks security solutions to support and enhance our global technical security architecture. This position is critical for maintaining the operational integrity of our security infrastructure across all regions.

As a successful consultant, you will be responsible for the operational support (2nd & 3rd line) of the global security platform, primarily focusing on Palo Alto Networks firewall and related security solutions. You will ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our security services in a complex, multinational IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line operational support for the Global Technical Security Architecture, with a primary focus on Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama).
• Manage the global firewall infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Implement and support security policies, rulesets, NAT, VPN, and zero trust principles using Palo Alto technologies.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts, performing in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Work closely with architecture teams to support the design and transition of new security services into operations.
• Contribute to continual service improvement initiatives, processes, and documentation in line with ITIL practices.
• Administer and support adjacent systems such as URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, WildFire, and GlobalProtect.
• Participate in global change management processes, incident resolution, and problem management activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of experience operating large-scale global IT security infrastructure, with a strong focus on firewall and network security.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks products, including:

-Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)

-Panorama centralized management

-GlobalProtect VPN

-WildFire Threat Intelligence

• Experience with global MPLS networks, proxy technologies (forward/reverse), 2FA, endpoint protection, and email security gateways (e.g., Cisco ESA).
• Proven track record of working in multinational enterprise environments with global service delivery responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security policy lifecycle, and segmentation models.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL v3/v4, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision.

Preferred Certifications

• PCNSE – Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (Required or strongly preferred).
• CISSP,CCSP, or equivalent security industry certifications.
• Other certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNP Security, cloud security certs) are a plus.
