Proxy Product Manager

Data Science Lead of a team developing internal analytics and machine learning solutions to enhance commercial negotiations and optimize supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and guidance to your team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment in data science landscape. You will set clear goals and objectives, empowering your team members to excel and achieve their full potential.
• Oversee the entire data science project lifecycle, from project scoping and planning to successful execution and delivery. You will manage resources effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Contribute your in-depth knowledge of data science methodologies, algorithms, and tools. You will guide your team in the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions that address complex business challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various business areas to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data science initiatives. You will keep stakeholders informed of project progress and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Scientist or a similar role.
• Tech lead experience, steering people and stakeholders (proxy-product management/leadership role).
• Expertise in data science and machine learning (classification, regression, and clustering), with a strong understanding of optimization and additional understanding of causal inference, data engineering practices, and data visualization techniques.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Services (BigQuery, VertexAI – Workbenches and Pipelines), CloudRun) for data science product development.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling and analysis techniques.
• Strong knowledge and experience using SQL and Python (with scikit-learn and TensorFlow, PyTorch, Polars).
• Experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Ability to evaluate, improve, or develop advanced machine learning algorithms for complex use cases
• Proven track record of managing the entire data science project pipeline.
