Must Haves

  • Cybersecurity Project Manager, the HM is not interested in a General PM
  • Looking for someone who has worked with more than 30 people on a project.

  • Identity and Access Management OR Cybersecurity Related Projects

Description

Project Scope Summary:

  • To provide project leadership to various cyber security programs including Strengthening Cyber Defenses, Cyber Control Tower, Identity Access Management (IAM) Modernization, and Critical Value Assets
  • This role will also involve coordination with clusters and reporting on progress of cluster activities to various IT governance committees as needed

Project Leader Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the implementation of cyber controls with the clusters, and helps clusters understand the purpose of the controls they need to implement to improve security
  • Can help define the practices that can feed data into the intelligence portals to help gain better insights into potential security vulnerabilities and anomalies in real-time
  • Plan out the roadmap for the enterprise Identity and Access Management platforms (IAM)
  • Facilitate the process of addressing security risk and risk mitigation for the most critical application assets of the organization

Experience And Skill Set Requirements

Cyber Security Skills and Leadership (30%):

  • You knowledge and experience working in cyber security and managing cyber security projects
  • You have experience and knowledge about risk management frameworks for cyber security (i.e. NIST)
  • You have experience and basic understanding of working with Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Analytics and Report on large data sets, and leverage modern reporting tools to help gain insights into potential security events
  • You can work with teams to lead and facilitate requirements definition with clients and stakeholders to define the right solution to meet their requirements
  • You can work with teams to help identify the organizational security policies to guide implementation of organization tools in alignment to security policy

Project Management Skills (40%):

  • You have skills to lead major, complex IT projects, direct teams of project staff and external consultants, and ensure project deliverables are delivered within specified parameters
  • You have experience in working on multiple, concurrent projects and multi-year projects
  • You can bring multiple teams together under multiple accountable organizations and work collaboratively to meet the expected outcomes and maintain accountability of the team members to meet their commitments
  • You have experience being flexible and adapting to change when those may occur within the projects

Communication, Consultation and Interpersonal Skills (30%):

  • You have effective communication skills to prepare reports and explain technical solutions to IT and non-technical stakeholders
  • You can work co-operatively with project team and external stakeholders to implementation of security controls, explain the purpose of those controls, and monitor and manage vendor contacts, and participate on various IT committees
  • You can effectively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure everyone has the same understanding of the status, the progress and the next steps of the initiatives
  • You are a team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
