Job Title: VP / Senior Director, Finance - APAC
Location: China / Malaysia / Singapore (Open to candidates currently in global roles based in India)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute finance leader to take on the role of VP / Senior Director, Finance for our APAC manufacturing operations. This role plays a pivotal part in enabling strategic decision-making, driving performance, and providing financial stewardship across our regional footprint. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in multi-site, complex manufacturing environments and a proven ability to operate as a true business partner to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the CFO and C-level leadership to drive financial strategy, planning, and decision-making.
- Deliver accurate and insightful financial analysis, business forecasting, and long-range planning aligned with business priorities.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial performance and business outcomes.
- Oversee both management and statutory accounting across multiple APAC sites.
- Ensure timely and accurate regional P&L reporting and consolidation, covering a portfolio of at least USD 800 million in revenue.
- Champion improvements in forecasting accuracy, budgeting, and cost control across the business.
- Build, mentor, and challenge regional finance teams, including potential oversight of regional controllers (subject to scope).
- Drive operational excellence and transformation initiatives within finance, especially in complex or unstructured environments.
- Instill a performance-driven culture that embraces accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and internal policies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., CCD/legal) to clarify scope over legal/statutory responsibilities.
Expectations
- Minimum 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-country capacity.
- Proven track record managing P&Ls of USD 800 million or more.
- Strong background in multi-site manufacturing environments ideally in stamping, molding, or assembly; not limited to packaging, warehousing, or fleet management.
- Demonstrated success in transforming finance functions and navigating unstructured or evolving organizational landscapes.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
- Strong influencing and communication skills to effectively challenge and support cross-functional teams.
- High business acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insight.
- Culturally agile with experience operating in diverse, matrixed environments.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA) is preferred.
Additional Notes
- Title will be commensurate with experience (VP / Senior Director).
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
- Candidates currently based in India will be considered only if holding a global finance leadership role in a multinational manufacturing environment.
