Job Opportunity: Senior Go Engineer

📍 Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

📅 Contract Duration: 12 months

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Go Engineer with strong backend development experience to join our agile team. You will contribute to building and maintaining microservices using Golang, collaborating closely in a Scrum environment and ensuring high-quality code through continuous integration and automated testing.

Core Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Expert in Go (Golang) programming
• Proficient in RESTful services and microservice architectures
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Desirable Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of TDD/BDD and various testing levels (unit, integration, regression)
• Experience with:
• Kafka, PostgreSQL, gRPC
• Docker, GraphQL
• Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Rally
• Exposure to CI/CD/CT practices and tools
• Knowledge of multiple SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall)

Work Environment

• Hybrid model: 3 days/week onsite at Burgess Hill
