Lead Backend Developers (Python + TypeScript/Node.js)

Our client is lookin for fully-remote Lead Backend Developers (Python + TypeScript/Node.js) on a B2B contract -40/week. Only candidates available ASAP or within 2 weeks notice.

Requirements

• Solid backend development experience in Python and TypeScript/Node.js as primary languages
• Familiarity with JavaScript cryptographic libraries (e.g., encryption, decryption, hashing, digital signatures)
• Experience with asynchronous programming and distributed data processing using Python
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker)
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Strong version control skills and Git-based workflows
• Proven critical thinking abilities and a self-driven learning approach
• Clear communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Exposure to cryptocurrencies and blockchain protocols
• Experience working with financial or audit-related data
• Experience with Apache Spark or Databricks for data processing
• Familiarity with gated deployments, preparing artifact handoffs and release notes
• Experience with Azure Functions, and Durable Functions for workflow orchestration

Responsibilities

• Lead a pod of 4 Senior Python developers (+ PO and QA)
• Design and implement new backend functionality
• Analyze functional requirements and propose scalable technical solutions
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, blockchain subject matter experts, frontend/backend developers, and QA engineers
• Apply and promote best software development practices
• Maintain and improve existing components' functionality
• Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs
