OFFICER – CUSTODY OPERATIONS (DIGITAL ASSET)

The Custody Operations Officer will support the Line Manager in the day-to-day operations of the bank’s digital asset custody services. Will be responsible for executing operational tasks, ensuring the security and accuracy of digital asset transactions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a foundational understanding of blockchain technology, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Tasks And Accountabilities

• Execute and perform daily custody operations, including asset transfers, withdrawals, deposits, minting, and burning, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client holdings and transactions.
• Reconciliation of Digital Assets on periodic basis as per the defined procedures.
• Provide support in resolving custody-related inquiries or issues from clients and internal stakeholders, escalating complex matters to their Line Manager when necessary.
• Adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
• Assist in preparing documentation and operational reports to support audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting requirements.
• Ability to multi-task and take on responsibilities.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in blockchain technology and custody operations to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  
  

Technical Competencies (Role & Department Specific)

• In-depth understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and custody best practices.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptographic transaction approval mechanisms, and private key management.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the cryptocurrency industry is a plus
• Familiarity with custody software and systems is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  
  

Minimum Experience

2 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the financial services industry. Experience with custody and security procedures for digital assets and/or traditional assets.
