QA Tester - Toronto/Hybrid

Job Title: QA Tester

Location: Hybrid (3 days remote), Toronto, Canada

Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Role Summary: We are hiring for this role where the selected candidate will work on our client’s project focused on building reliable, cross-platform applications. You’ll be part of a collaborative Agile team ensuring a high-quality user experience through comprehensive testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high-quality test plans to ensure exceptional user experiences.
• Isolate and document detailed defects in Jira for efficient tracking and resolution.
• Optimize test strategies to deliver high ROI for each product cycle.
• Conduct functional (GUI and data), regression, system integration, and smoke tests.
• Validate software behavior across multiple operating systems.
• Collaborate with the Agile team to continuously enhance QA processes and advocate for quality.
  
  

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Skilled in root cause analysis for complex software issues.
• Basic programming skills for writing and debugging automated tests.
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Customer-oriented and open to collaboration on diverse projects.
• Experience with post-production pipelines.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Exposure to tools like Jira, GitHub, TestRail, and Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or other modern languages.
• Experience supporting large-scale software deployments.
