Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Orlando, FL. Overview: A Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing and maintaining an organization's computer networks. They ensure networks are operating efficiently and securely by identifying and resolving issues as they arise. The Senior Network Engineer must have an in-depth understanding of network protocols, server hardware and software, and operating systems. They are also responsible for administering network security measures such as firewalls, and monitoring and controlling access to networks. In addition, they collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement new network systems as needed. In brief, a Senior Network Engineer manages an organization's IT system and maintains its stability and security. To qualify for a Senior Network Engineer job description, candidates must have a degree in computer science or related field and hold industry recognized certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure
• Develop and document network architecture diagrams for better understanding and visual representation of the networks
• Implement and manage network security measures to ensure data protection and prevent cyber-attacks
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues that arise in the network infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, developers, and project managers to ensure seamless operation of all systems
• Maintain good relationships with vendors to stay informed about the latest networking technologies and solutions offered in the market
• Automate network processes and deploy network automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure network resilience during an outage
  
  

Requirements

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer with experience in:

• Cisco switching and routing (IOS CLI proficiency)
• Meraki hardware (MX, MS series) and cloud dashboard configuration
• VLAN architecture and inter-VLAN routing
• NAT/firewall rules and default route setup
• Onsite troubleshooting (patch panel tracing, switchport verification, cable testing)
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
