We're looking for a freelance Data Engineer to join our project — a BI solution for organizing and selling industry‑specific data through interactive dashboards built with Apache Superset. The project focuses on extracting, modeling, and visualizing multi‑gigabyte datasets (1–4GB+) for end‑user analytics and decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and charts in Apache Superset.
• Configure data connectors, caching, and performance tuning for large data volumes.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) for multi‑GB data sources.
• Implement parameterized queries and templated filters to support self‑service analytics.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure seamless data ingestion and best practices for incremental loads, partitioning, and indexing.
• Partner with stakeholders and sales representatives to translate business questions into actionable data requirements and elegant visualizations.
• Monitor dashboard usage and query performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot data quality or visualization issues.
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience building dashboards in Apache Superset (or comparable BI tools like Tableau or Looker).
• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Ability to work with large‑volume raw data (1–4GB+) and design efficient data models.
• Analytical mindset, adept at interpreting ambiguous requirements and proposing effective visual or technical solutions.
• Exposure to or a strong interest in the Pharmaceutical industry is a significant plus.
