The Role

We are looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead our growing team of backend, blockchain, DevOps, and distributed systems engineers. You will set the technical roadmap, scale the team, and help us deliver a robust, secure, and performant decentralized GPU network.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Own and evolve the technical architecture of a globally distributed compute platform.
• Team Management: Hire, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams across backend, protocol, and infrastructure domains.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with product, research, and business teams to define and execute the technical vision.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and highly available across global regions.
• Security & Reliability: Champion best practices in DevSecOps and software quality assurance.
• Open Source Engagement: Promote and contribute to open source, and engage with the broader Web3 and AI developer communities.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Bridge technical execution with product delivery, investor relations, and strategic partnerships.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience building and scaling cloud or distributed systems (e.g., Kubernetes, edge compute, cloud orchestration).
• Strong understanding of blockchain/Web3 technologies, especially smart contracts, decentralized storage, and crypto economics.
• Solid experience with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU clusters, or compute-heavy environments is a big plus.
• Familiar with Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana, or other modern blockchain ecosystems.
• Experience managing remote and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Passion for open-source and decentralized infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and executive presence.

Preferred Tech Stack

• Languages: Go, Rust, Python, Solidity
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, GPU Scheduling (e.g., Kubeflow, Slurm), CI/CD pipelines
• Blockchain: EVM, Cosmos SDK, ZK / L2 solutions
• AI Stack (plus): PyTorch, Hugging Face, Ray, ONNX
