iOS Developer Architect - Contract

We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer Architect to lead the architecture and development of a scalable, high-performing, and user-centric mobile application. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a strong track record of delivering enterprise-grade mobile solutions, and the ability to drive best-practice development standards across the team.

This role combines hands-on development with architectural decision-making and will work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, backend developers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of a native iOS application aligned with business and user needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to iOS developers and other mobile engineers.
• Define and promote best practices in mobile architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and testing strategies.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define robust API interfaces and ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct code reviews, evaluate technical debt, and guide the team in building clean, maintainable code.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of iOS development experience with at least 2 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Expert in Swift, with deep knowledge of native iOS SDKs, UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and Core Data.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, offline sync, and secure data storage.
• Proven experience in leading mobile teams or projects in agile environments.
• Knowledge of App Store guidelines, deployment processes, and enterprise distribution.
• Familiarity with tools such as Xcode, Fastlane, Firebase, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cross-platform tools (e.g., Flutter, React Native) is a plus but not essential.
• Previous involvement in B2B or enterprise-grade mobile app development.
• Understanding of design systems and working with Figma or similar tools.
• Exposure to SAP integration, particularly with SAP BTP or SAP Plant Maintenance (nice to have).
