Data Analytics Consultant (m/f/d)

Are you solution-oriented and eager to apply your IT skills in a customer-facing role? For this newly created position, we are seeking an IT Consultant (m/f/d) to join a team of Business Analytics, BI, and Software experts in Vienna. This team enable their clients to transform data into information and gain knowledge from it. In your projects, you will support clients in implementing software solutions for the preparation and provision of large data sets for their own data analyses (reporting & dashboarding) and for implementing financial planning solutions using Planning Analytics tools.

Your Role:

• Supporting the design and implementation of projects for analytics and planning solutions, especially in the finance sector
• Data preparation and provisioning (extracting data from source systems, creating data marts and DWH using ETL tools)
• Modeling of analytical models
• Implementation of planning models
• Utilization of technologies such as:
• Databases (mainly MS SQL Server)
• Integrated ETL tools (DWH, Data Lakes, XML files, etc.)
• Analytics and planning tools like Cognos Analytics, Planning Analytics Tools, or MS PowerBI

Your Profile:

• A degree in IT, Business Informatics, Data Science/Data Analytics, or comparable practical experience
• Business-Level German language skills, fluent English
• Basic knowledge in database query languages (SQL), a good understanding of data, and experience with OLAP cubes
• Analytical approach to requirements from specialized departments, mainly in the finance & controlling area, to technically translate and implement them
• Team player, self-motivated, and willing to learn, e.g., willingness to acquire new technologies
• You enjoy leading and implementing projects
• Prior knowledge in these or similar tools is helpful but not required; necessary training will be provided externally and in-house
