Network Engineer

Cyberteam is hiring on behalf of a global leader in satellite communications, a company providing secure, high-performance connectivity to maritime, defence, and enterprise customers.

We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join their team near Hamburg and help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers satellite operations across continents.

Your Role:

As Network Technician, you will support and expand a complex global network that ensures real-time satellite communication. You’ll work closely with international teams to ensure the reliability and performance of essential systems in a secure, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the company’s global satellite communication network infrastructure
• Monitor and improve systems: UTMs, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and leased lines
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to internal teams and external customers
• Contribute to customer-specific satellite communication projects from design to delivery
• Collaborate internationally to optimise uptime across data centres and remote sites

Your Profile:

• Deep understanding of network protocols and technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, firewalls, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco systems (CCNA/CCNP), ideally also Cisco CUBE
• Familiar with BGP routing, VoIP, Hyper-V, Windows Server, HPE switches/servers
• Fluent in German and English
