Senior Java Software Engineer

Senior Java Consultant - 12 months

My Dublin based client is looking for a Java Developer to join their growing team on a contract daily rate basis. The role role is hybrid 2 days on site in Dublin and is for 12 months starting Aug/ Sep 2025.

Essential Experience:

• A minimum of 6+ years' hands-on design and development experience as a full stack Java developer.
• Someone with strong Microservices and possible "Service mesh" exposure.
• Someone who has been a long term resident in Ireland as the role requires garda Vetting as its for a Irish Government body.
• Proficiency in software engineering principles, encompassing DevOps, and associated tooling.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Expertise in Java frameworks (Spring) and front-end frameworks (Angular or React or Vue).
• Experience with integration technologies (API Lead, Event Streaming, Backend For Frontend - BFF) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Strong grasp of data persistence, database technologies, and effective communication skills within agile teams

Educational Requirements:

• 3rd level degree in a related discipline or relevant experience.
