Network Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Be part of the client’s DMZ network support team providing operations support and maintenance for core network infrastructure.
  • Manage and track incidents through to resolution by collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as cloud team) and escalating issues as necessary to maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct fault analysis, problem resolution, configuration updates, performance optimization, etc.
  • Maintain and update documentation and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across operations as well as completeness and adherence to the required security policies, standard and guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer science / IT / Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience with comprehensive understanding of cloud networking, network equipment and related systems.
  • Has AWS operational work experience supporting AWS cloud networking in the capacity of System Administrator or Cloud Engineer. Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner or SysOps Administrator (Associate) or Solution Architect (Associate) is highly preferred. Those with Advanced Networking (Specialty) will have added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of firewall, switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, NTP configuration, TCP/IP networking, etc. Certification in network/system expertise (e.g. CCNA, ITIL, etc) will have added advantage.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network access problem and perform network troubleshooting.
  • Prior working experience in defence organisations or government ministries requiring security clearance will have an advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
