Middle/Senior ML Engineer

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable ML/Data Engineer to join our team.

Project Overview

The client is a global leader in edge-intelligent microgrid orchestration. Their platform enables fleets of distributed energy resources (DERs) – such as solar, batteries, and EV chargers – to self-optimize and coordinate into one resilient, global grid. You will contribute to a Proof-of-Concept (POC) focused on forecasting energy consumption and generation using telemetry and weather data. The POC includes data engineering, modeling, benchmarking, and lightweight deployment on edge devices (e.g., Jetson).

Hard Skills

3+ years of experience in data engineering or machine learning;
Strong Python skills, including Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn;
Experience with time-series modeling (Prophet, ARIMA, DeepAR, TFT);
Proficiency in working with cloud environments (AWS SageMaker preferred);
Familiarity with ML lifecycle: training, validation, and testing frameworks;
Understanding of energy systems or forecasting applications is a plus.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with graph-based models (e.g., GNNs);
Jetson (or edge device) deployment experience;
Familiarity with energy sector datasets (telemetry, weather, solar, etc.);
Experience using tools like MLflow, DVC, or SageMaker pipelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare and clean time-series data (telemetry, weather) at 15-min intervals;
Implement evaluation metrics and backtesting for forecasting accuracy;
Build baseline and advanced models (e.g., ARIMA, Prophet, DeepAR, GNN);
Engineer features (e.g., holidays, clear-sky, pricing) and tune model performance;
Package and test models for edge deployment on devices like Nvidia Jetson.
