Game Developer (Roblox)

Skillsearch are working with a BAFTA-winning games studio to help them find a game developer to work on a new Roblox project.

It is a 3 month contract where you'll be part of the full product cycle from concept to launch with the potential to extend for live-ops.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the team during discovery to identify risks and shape the technical approach
• Build scalable, performant features in Luau using clean, reusable code
• Evaluate design and art for technical feasibility
• Communicate progress, flag blockers, and maintain clear documentation
• Help future-proof development with clear, accessible tech documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Shipped Roblox projects with live ops experience
• Strong Luau + OOP skills and deep knowledge of Roblox Studio, CFrame, UI/UX, and optimization
• Experience with Roblox multiplayer services (e.g. Datastore, MemoryStoreService)
• Comfortable with Git and Rojo in a collaborative team environment
• Good grasp of asset management and optimization
• Great communicator and problem solver

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with promises, maid patterns, or advanced async scripting
• Understanding of the Roblox community and player motivations
