About the Role
A leading federal government agency is seeking a highly skilled Release Engineer to support a large-scale transformation program. This is a long-term opportunity within a complex enterprise environment, offering stability and the chance to work with cutting-edge DevOps and cloud technologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing application environments, CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and supporting containerisation and automation strategies. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure streamlined development and deployment processes.

A leading federal government agency is seeking a highly skilled Release Engineer to support a large-scale transformation program. This is a long-term opportunity within a complex enterprise environment, offering stability and the chance to work with cutting-edge DevOps and cloud technologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing application environments, CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and supporting containerisation and automation strategies. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure streamlined development and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance Continuous Delivery Pipelines and DevOps toolchains
- Provide support for developers and stakeholders across the release lifecycle
- Implement and maintain containerised environments using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain deployment automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, Python, Groovy, and Java
- Troubleshoot and resolve software configuration issues in dev and test environments
- Support application deployment, log analysis, and repository management (Git/GitHub)
- Work within hybrid cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
Strong experience with DevOps implementation and CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on with tools including:
- Digital.ai (Xebia)
- Jenkins (admin level + Pipelines-as-Code)
- Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes
- Git/GitHub (admin level with branching/user/process management)
- Proficiency in scripting: Ansible, Bash, Python, Groovy, and/or Java
- Background in supporting Oracle databases, Red Hat Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Proactive approach with a desire to build deep domain knowledge
