Your new role

The Network Infrastructure Engineer is to provide onsite, and remote support for all staff within the organisation, along with supporting ongoing projects and infrastructure improvements / implementation.

Role and responsibilities:

• Design and implement IT architectures for the sustainable, adaptable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all ICT Infrastructure Environments and Systems.
• Conduct tests, correct malfunctions, and document results in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Develop infrastructure implementation and management processes, procedures and standards, and improvements thereof.
• Coordinate routine maintenance tasks, inclusive of upgrade / update planning and test environment preparation.
• Ensure all systems are patched and upgraded to the latest stable version available within support agreements.
• Where possible, configure systems for automatic alerting, to ensure uptime and correct functioning of infrastructure systems.
• Support the successful delivery of ICT projects and organisational projects support by ICT, including scoping and installation of infrastructure systems based on those projects.
• Systematic planning and decommissioning of redundant / End of Life (EOL) infrastructure.
• Identification of EOL systems and possible solutions for succession of EOL systems.

What you need to succeed

• Industry certification of MCP / MCSE, or a degree or Certificate IV in Information Technology or related field OR demonstrated extended relevant experience in the field at the same technical level as the position that is described in this document (3 years or more experience).
• Proven ability in the support of enterprise network infrastructure, workstations, servers, and applications.
• Three years equivalent experience in Network Infrastructure environment.
• Experience in ICT within the health industry, desirable.
• Experience with Phone / PABX and Video Conferencing is desirable.
• Experience with Domain Controllers, File Servers, Hardware configuration, Server storage, VMWare, Office 365.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Current Victorian Driver’s license or equivalent.
