Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the marine, off-highway and on-highway markets. A business division of Danfoss, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels based on synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet technology and state-of-the-art power electronic converters.

As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a motived and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team based in Lappeenranta, Finland.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the electrification of on-highway vehicles through embedded software development. In this position you will:

• Design and document software modules in C and/or C++.
• Write unit tests for the modules.
• Co-operate with other software developers, architects, test engineers, and system engineers.
  
  

Ideally, You Will Also

• Perform the tasks of a workstream lead or a scrum master.
• Develop functional safety (ISO 26262) software modules.
  
  

Background & Skills
We Would Expect Candidates To Demonstrate The Following

• Masters or equivalent in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar related field, with extensive experience in software development.
• Excellent understanding of high quality software development in C and/or C++.
• Being an effective team player, yet not afraid of working independently or taking responsibility.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  
  

Preferred Would Also Be

• Ph.D. in software engineering or electrical engineering with comprehensive experience in software development.
• Understanding of power electronic converters, motor control, and electric traction systems.
• Understanding functional safety in software engineering (especially ISO 26262), experience of functional safety projects in the automotive industry.
• Familiar with Cyber Security key concepts.
• Experience of Azure DevOps.
• Experience of working as a Scrum master or a product owner.
