Senior Java Developer (OpenL)

Compensation: €3,500 - €4,800 / month

Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join EIS and play a key role in developing our next-generation insurance platform from the ground up. Our mission is to insure the world through a lean, scalable, cloud-native solution. As part of a cross-functional and forward-thinking team, you'll help deliver a modern, microservices-based platform using cutting-edge technologies and GenAI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain platform features using the EIS platform and modern Java technologies
Collaborate with business analysts and clients to refine business and technical requirements
Ensure quality through adherence to coding standards, testing best practices, and code reviews
Work with production support teams to maintain and enhance live systems
Manage and prioritize multiple project tasks and client demands independently
Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to explain progress, challenges, and solutions

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Must-Have Technical Skills:

3+ years of experience as a Software Developer, preferably in cloud-native or enterprise platforms
Proficient in Java 21
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Data, Liquibase, Unit testing, REST APIs
Understanding of RxJava and HTTP protocol Hands-on experience with SQL, Docker, Git, Maven, and Jenkins
Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging solutions Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Competence in AI tools and Generative AI (GenAI) / LLM usage in development workflows
Experience working in Scrum / Agile development environments
Intermediate or higher English proficiency, both spoken and written

Nice-to-Have:

Knowledge of Python and ReactJS
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical topics to clients and partners
Self-organized and capable of managing own workload and priorities
Comfortable switching between multiple project contexts and client interactions during the day
Growth-oriented mindset with a passion for learning and helping others grow
