The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg.

We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine – in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and their contributing factors. The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. We excel because we are truly interdisciplinary, and together we contribute to science and society.

Your role

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will:

• Lead the redesign of existing web applications and development of new ones
• Design and build modern, intuitive, and user-friendly web applications
• Write readable, modular, and reliable HTML5, CSS and JavaScript code
• Apply best practices in software development including documentation and testing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, data scientists, and clinicians
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the development team
  
  

Your profile

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in web development and UI/UX design
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, CSS and HTML5 (TypeScript is a plus)
• Experience with UI/UX design and tools like Figma
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, VueJS, or Angular
• Solid understanding of Git and version control best practices
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
• A keen eye for beautiful, functional, and user-friendly UI design
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to software development
