Our operations span over 50 countries on 5 continents, including all the major energy hubs. We trade physical oil, energy products, environmental products and other commodities from Geneva, London, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Dubai, Houston, Calgary and Greenwich (CT).
We are committed to advancing the transition to a more sustainable, affordable and reliable energy system for tomorrow. Over 50% of our assets are in low carbon & energy transition sectors - providing a strong platform to trade these new markets and support decarbonization.
In 2023, we established Silvania, a $500 million fund, investing into restoration and protection of nature and biodiversity globally and in support of the Paris Agreement goals & UN 30x30 biodiversity initiative. This new asset class supports nature protection and provides sustainable financial returns.
The role
We are seeking a sharp, driven, and highly adaptable Talent & Business Support Associate to partner closely with the Chief of Staff on high-impact strategic mandates. This role is functionally hybrid, combining talent intelligence and execution support with personal assistant responsibilities. It is designed for a high-potential early-career professional—commercially minded, resourceful, and hungry to operate at the intersection of talent acquisition, executive operations, and business expansion.
You will work directly with the Chief of Staff, whose remit is to headhunt senior commercial leadership (traders, directors) and build out new business lines through targeted hiring. This is not general recruitment support—it’s sharp, selective, and discreet execution work that touches the front line of commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Support (Executive Search Focus)
- Assist with the identification, mapping, and approach strategies for top-tier talent (traders, commercial leads, directors, etc).
- Research markets, competitor structures, and talent movements to support headhunting strategies.
- Coordinate discreet outreach and candidate engagement logistics (scheduling, briefing documents, travel support).
- Help maintain structured pipelines for each target business line or strategic hiring plan.
Business Line Expansion Support
- Support the Chief of Staff in operationalizing new business initiatives through research, stakeholder coordination, and follow-ups.
- Travel with or on behalf of the Chief of Staff to assist with early-stage business setup tasks (site visits, interviews, logistics).
- Track progress and prepare succinct status reports across parallel hiring-driven business ventures.
Executive & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the Chief of Staff: travel booking, calendar management, expense tracking, and document preparation.
- Act as liaison for internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth information flow and timely execution.
- Handle sensitive data and conversations with discretion and professionalism.
Technical expertise:
- 2–3 years’ experience in sourcing, internal recruitment, or search; experience with commercial profiles a plus.
- Highly organized, commercially curious, and able to grasp the dynamics of trading and business building quickly.
- Fast learner with a “no job too small” attitude—ready to pivot from admin to strategy in the same day.
- Comfortable with frequent travel (up to 80%) and navigating ambiguous or fast-developing situations.
- Strong communication, discretion, and stakeholder-facing capability.
- Fluent English, additional languages an asset.
What we offer:
- Firsthand exposure to strategic hiring at the commercial core of the business.
- Close collaboration with leadership and front-office strategy.
- Fast-paced, entrepreneurial work with visible impact.
- Competitive remuneration and travel coverage.
