Job Description

We are looking for a senior software engineer passionate about the chance to work on Arm's Mali GPU Vulkan driver. We want someone with lots of passion for engineering and the desire to work in an innovative and exciting field.

Our team focuses on the technology of future Vulkan specifications in the context of our GPU, performing investigations and developing the driver. We work especially on the layers that interact with the Vulkan API.

Responsibilities

As a senior software engineer, your goal is to add the required functionality to the driver to support new Vulkan features. You will do this in a collaborative effort with other team members, and involves design, investigation, implementation and maintenance.

These early investigations are sometimes used as feedback to the Khronos Group, so you might be helping to improve the Vulkan standard.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science with some experience in the software industry.
  • Experience in embedded software, low-level software or bare-metal programming.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
  • Experience with 2D/3D graphics technology and standards such as Vulkan, OpenGL, OpenGL ES etc.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency working in Linux environment.
  • Arm architecture knowledge.
  • Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience in software optimization and instrumentation.
  • Good skills in working with others, communicating/understanding technical concepts with ease.
  • Curiosity and interest for improving your knowledge and expertise.
  • Autonomy to drive the life-cycle of a task from beginning to end without supervision.
  • Creative approach to engineering, ready to challenge the status quo.
