You will play a key role in ensuring system resilience and fault tolerance through advanced architecture design and sensor management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement redundant system architectures to enhance safety and fault tolerance.
- Develop and validate redundancy management strategies for flight control computers and avionics sensors.
- Create sensor voting, selection, and blending algorithms for INS, ADS, GPS, and other systems.
- Define and review system and subsystem requirements and interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace safety and certification standards (e.g., ARP4754A, ARP4761).
- Ensure compliance with software and hardware certification standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and flight test campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, flight control, systems engineering, certification, and safety teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in avionics engineering with a focus on redundancy management and sensor fusion algorithms.
- Solid understanding of safety-critical systems and certification processes (e.g., ARP4754A, DAL).
- Proficiency with tools like MATLAB/Simulink and requirements management software (e.g., Polarion, DOORS).
- Familiarity with avionics communication protocols (e.g., CAN, serial comms).
- Experience with Avionics, Flight Control Systems, inertial sensors, air data computers, and mission systems.
- Familiarity with System Safety Assessments, Failure Hazard Analysis, and test planning.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with HIL testing and system verification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
