Senior Android Engineer - Java/Kotlin

Android Engineer

You'll modernize our e-commerce app while collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Modernize Android app codebase while delivering product roadmap features
• Ensure app performance exceeds customer expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional product engineering teams
• Contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions
• Integrate third-party services and libraries
• Participate in planning, estimation, and problem-solving sessions
• Support legacy code refactoring and migration initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and releasing Android apps in Java/Kotlin
• Expert-level Kotlin and Android Studio proficiency
• Strong understanding of Clean Architecture and MVVM/MVI patterns
• Advanced knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines
• Experience with threading, caching, offline storage, and performance optimization
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and reactive programming
• Experience integrating Firebase and third-party libraries
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Comprehensive testing skills (unit, integration, UI testing)
• Strong Git experience in team environments
• Knowledge of Material Design principles
