iOS Software Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior iOS Software Engineer to join one of our education services clients. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using Swift. You’ll work closely with a lean, collaborative mobile team dedicated to delivering exceptional user experiences to a large and growing student user base.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of four actively maintained iOS and Android applications, currently used by tens of thousands of students. Your expertise in Swift and iOS development will help shape the future of these apps, ensuring they remain robust, scalable, and user-friendly

Day-to-Day

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Lead the development process from conception to deployment, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Ensure high performing apps, excellent user experience, and seamless integration with backend services
• Manage Apple Developer accounts, including provisioning profiles, certificates, and App Store Connect.
• Proven experience in managing Apple Developer accounts, including App Store submissions and updates.
• Conduct benchmarking and performance optimization to ensure high responsiveness and efficiency of applications.
• Implement and maintain robust and scalable push notification systems.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to align on specifications and deliverables.
• Monitor and address any issues in the iOS applications published on the App Store.
• Integrate with backend services, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
• Ensure code quality, perform code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Translate Figma designs into functional user interfaces while ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience (UX).

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in iOS development, with a strong command of Swift and SwiftUI
• Proven track record of developing and publishing successful apps on the iOS App Store.
• Familiarity with implementing push notifications and working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Expert-level knowledge of Xcode, including debugging and performance tools.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
