Android Developer to join our Mobile App Squad at Tesco Mobile Engineering.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help shape the future of our Android app, used by over 5 million customers, working in a collaborative, agile team alongside iOS devs, QA, Product, and BA.

You Will Be Asked To

Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Build new features and custom functionality that enhance the customer experience
Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app
Contribute to code reviews, mentor junior devs, and share knowledge across the team

Ideally You'll Have

5+ years of hands-on Android development experience
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Experience with RESTful APIs, architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP), and Git
Familiarity with push notifications, offline storage, and performance tuning
A collaborative way of working and strong problem-solving skills

This is a permanent, hybrid role (2 days per week in office) based in either Manchester or Slough.
