Company Description
Our project is an indie stealth action-adventure game featuring rich narrative elements, complex stealth mechanics, and fluid combat. Set in a unique alternate history world, it blends themes inspired by Assassin’s Creed and Dishonored, with innovative gameplay elements to offer players compelling stealth and strategic choices. We are currently transitioning from the prototype to the mid-production stage, and your contribution will be crucial to achieving our vision.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Unreal Engine Programmer to join our remote indie development team full-time for a 4-6 month period, starting August 2025. You'll play a pivotal role in bringing our ambitious stealth action-adventure indie game to life, inspired by iconic titles such as Assassin’s Creed and Dishonored.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and merge code repositories, resolving conflicts and ensuring project integrity.
- Assist with project packaging, build creation, and deployment.
- Organise and manage internal and external playtesting sessions, collating feedback for iterative improvements.
- Create polished, presentable demos and assist in preparing builds for external stakeholders.
- Develop and refine menu systems, UI wireframes, and interactive elements.
- Implement and enhance the game's quest system to ensure engaging player experiences.
- Provide technical support to the development team, helping resolve any technical hurdles collaboratively.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine development (C++ and Blueprints).
- Strong educational background in Game Development, Game Programming, or related fields.
- Proven experience with version control systems, particularly in merging repositories and resolving conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to package and deliver polished game builds and demos.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborative nature, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate in a remote working environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Understanding of game design principles and player experience considerations.
- Prior experience shipping games on platforms such as Steam.
- AC fanaticism :)
Employment Details
Position Type: Full-time contract
Duration: 4-6 months (starting August 2025)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (Remote, flexible hours may apply)
Compensation: $4,000 USD/month
