Senior Python Software Engineer – Netherlands (Hybrid)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs powering GenAI-driven applications
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployments
• Monitor and fine-tune performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, product teams, and architects to ship high-impact features
• Work across a wide range of engineering challenges, from backend development to infrastructure and DevOps
• Focus on simplicity, clarity, and delivering meaningful outcomes, not complexity for its own sake
• Contribute to hiring, mentoring, and growing the engineering team
• Share ideas and best practices in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of Python development experience in production environments
• Strong experience building asynchronous APIs with FastAPI (or similar frameworks)
• Familiarity with distributed data tools (e.g. PySpark, Kafka) in production settings
• Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud infrastructure best practices
• A pragmatic mindset, focused on creating elegant solutions to real-world problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Passion for collaboration, continuous learning, and sharing knowledge

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript
• Exposure to orchestration tools like Airflow
• Interest in mentoring, writing technical content, or improving developer tooling
