Senior Data Scientist

JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced data models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses. This role aims to drive strategic decision-making and solve high-impact business challenges across various functions. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, integrate insights, and optimize business outcomes.

The role requires a deep understanding of data science principles, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in machine learning techniques. It also involves working on data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and model deployment, with a focus on achieving production-ready AI/ML solutions that are aligned with business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop End-to-End Data Science Projects: Lead data science initiatives from business exploration and model prototyping to deployment and performance monitoring.
• Data Collection and Integration: Collect and integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Clean, preprocess, and validate datasets to ensure they meet quality standards for analysis.
• Model Development: Design and develop predictive models and AI systems to optimize manufacturing operations, enable predictive maintenance, and improve supply chain logistics.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure that AI/ML solutions are aligned with business objectives and production-ready.
• Communication: Effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data science and artificial intelligence, ensuring that the organization remains on the cutting edge of technology.

PROFILE

Education:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data science or a related field, with expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and model deployment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Advanced experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
• Hands-on experience with data wrangling and model development.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and model deployment in different infrastructures.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve business goals.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel may be required for business needs, approximately 15 %
