JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Data Scientist - ConcreteDirect is responsible for building, deploying, and scaling advanced machine learning (ML) and optimization models on AWS to solve high-impact business problems in supply chain management. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies, capable of enhancing existing code and improving model performance. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, enhance existing cloud-based pipelines, and ensure smooth operation of production models. Additionally, you will contribute to automating KPI reports and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advanced Data Science Models: Apply statistical and machine learning models to supply chain management, with a focus on improving cost-efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- AI & ML Systems: Develop and deploy AI/ML systems for process optimization, such as scheduling problems, and simulate various delivery scenarios.
- Cloud-Based Enhancements: Enhance existing cloud-based data science solutions, implement new ML algorithms, and perform rigorous benchmarking to improve performance.
- AWS Cloud Integration: Work with AWS cloud tools (Lambda, API Gateway, SageMaker, etc.) to develop and deploy scalable AI/ML pipelines.
- Data Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and visualize data to derive actionable business insights and improve workflows.
- KPI Automation: Design, prepare, and automate KPI reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitoring & Validation: Write test and validation scripts to monitor cloud performance, data latency, and ensure data output quality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with operational and business goals.
- Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of data processes, modeling strategies, and system designs to facilitate knowledge transfer and system maintainability.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and cloud technologies to continuously improve the organization's analytical capabilities.
PROFILE
Education:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, AI/ML.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Advanced experience with machine learning libraries.
- Deep knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and optimization methods.
- Experience with AWS technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, SageMaker, Glue, Athena, etc.).
- Experience working on optimization and scheduling (Python libraries preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data workflows.
- Experience in supply chain management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required for business needs.
