Python Developer - Fintech (Payments Platform) - Dubai

A growing Fintech based in Dubai is seeking an adept Python Developer to join their Dubai team and help build and maintain their Payments platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components for the core platform (developing with Python)
• Help maintain the core platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents
• Develop backend services
• Develop APIs
• Develop data processing pipelines
• Work on platform integrations
• Utilize SQL for data storage and retrieval
• Collaborate with numerous teams across the business to optimize the platform and build new functionality
• Develop security solutions to ensure data protection and safety
• Build and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional work experience
• Prior experience working as a Python Developer
• Proficiency with Python scripting
• Experience working on platform or backend development
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with web frameworks (i.e., Django, Flask).
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Experience with containerization tools (i.e., Docker and Kubernetes).
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Knowledge of security best practices for platform development
