Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Salary: AED 25–30K/month + Equity

A high-growth company in the fintech/payments space is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support continued expansion. This is a strategic, senior-level role reporting directly into the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting aligned with IFRS and regulatory standards
• Lead internal and external audits, VAT, and corporate tax compliance
• Build and maintain strong internal controls and risk management frameworks
• Oversee cash flow, supplier payments, and client money reconciliation across group entities
• Manage accounting processes using Xero and develop internal reporting dashboards
• Provide commercial insights into revenue, margin and operational efficiency
• Implement scalable processes, automation, and best-in-class finance practices
• Partner with C-level leaders to challenge, advise, and support decision-making

Profile Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with 8+ years post-qualification experience
• Background in fintech, payments, VC/PE-backed or high-growth startup environments
• Experience managing client money accounts and working across multiple entities
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and Excel/Sheets skills
• Experience with Xero preferred
• Hands-on leader with strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and process mindset
• Able to manage multiple priorities at speed, and influence at executive level
