Job Role

1)Business & Product Partnering : Partner & Collaborate effectively with the Business & Product Stakeholders within the organization; expectation would be to work closely with these stakeholders and build a deep understanding of the context and objectives

2)Business Problem Understanding : Having an in-depth understanding of the business problem at hand, re-articulating the stakeholder’s problem, identifying the “why” is a certain problem important for the organisation to solve

3)Data Exploration & Analysis : Converting the business problem into a Data & Analytics problem, identifying the correct data sources, building an understanding of data at source, and doing Exploratory Data Analysis of the relevant datasets

4)Insights & Storytelling : Generating insights based on the business problem and datasets at hand and sharing the same with the stakeholders; also making sure that the stakeholders understand all aspects of the analysis and plan for the necessary action steps

5)Data & Process Automation : Ensuring the right set of automation tools are used to automate the repeating use-cases both from a Data perspective and Business/Process perspective

Technical Skills & Qualification Criteria

1)Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics background

2)At least 1 years of full-time experience working as a Data & Analytics professional

3)Data Warehousing, RDBMS Basics and Database Understanding

4)Intermediate to Advanced level in ANSI or Standard SQL (at least one version like MySQL or HiveQL or PostgreSQL)

5)Good Knowledge of at least 1 Data Visualization Tool (e.g. Metabase, PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense, Google Data Studio, Looker etc) and visualization basics

6)Data Handling, Analysis & Automations Excel and Google Sheets including advanced formulae and pivoting skills

7)Data & Scripting Automations (including but not limited to Crons, Airflow, Google Scripting, Excel/Google Sheet Macros etc)

8)Basics of Python Programming for Data Cleaning, Wrangling, Transformation and Basic Data Visualizations

9)Ability to analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights for business & product stakeholders
