DevOps Administrator – Data Platform

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Administrator to support and scale our modern Data Platform infrastructure. This role is critical in building secure, scalable, and high-performing environments for data engineering and analytics workloads.

As a DevOps Administrator, you will work closely with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Architects, and Security teams to automate deployments, streamline CI/CD processes, enforce best practices in infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management:
• Maintain and optimize data platform components such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Hive, and Presto.
• Container Orchestration:
• Provision and manage Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) based services for data pipelines and analytics workloads.
• CI/CD Automation:
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Infrastructure-as-Code:
• Automate provisioning using Terraform, Helm, or Ansible across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Observability & Monitoring:
• Deploy and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement and maintain RBAC, secret management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), audit logging, and integration with Identity Providers (LDAP, OAuth, Azure AD).
• Artifact & Package Management:
• Manage build artifacts using Nexus or Artifactory.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and scripting (Bash / Python).
• Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with distributed data systems and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow).
• Hands-on knowledge of Spark, Kafka, and Lakehouse architectures (e.g., S3 + Hive, Delta Lake, Iceberg) is a strong plus.
