Project Manager in Construction Phase

Location: North Germany (Hamburg and Berlin) & Wiesbaden (Mid-South)

Salary: €90k-€110k + bonus + benefits

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

My client are seeking multiple highly skilled Project Managers for the Construction Phase of large-scale projects in the renewable energy sector, specifically wind energy. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals who want to make an impact and contribute to cutting-edge projects. The company are an international IPP, but the bulk of the company is based and operates in Germany as this is where they were established. They have significant financial backing, as well as a large portfolio of grid-connected projects already.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction phase projects, including EPC contracts, tenders, and site execution.
• Originate, negotiate, and manage contracts with a balance of commercial and technical expertise.
• Provide on-site leadership and coordination, 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days working from home.
• Ensure projects are executed efficiently, maintaining quality standards and deadlines.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project requirements and overcome technical challenges.
• Manage regular site visits (every second week), ensuring continuous oversight and progress tracking.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the construction or renewables sector.
• Strong commercial or technical background, with a preference for candidates with technical expertise in EPC management or as an Owner’s Engineer.
• Experience with wind energy projects is highly desirable, as well as exposure to CVWorks, electrical, and mechanical works.
• A decisive approach and a problem-solving mindset, capable of making decisions and proposing solutions effectively.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage a mix of commercial and technical aspects of the project.
• Fluent in German (C1 or above) is required.
• Prior experience working in the renewables industry, especially wind energy, is a must.

Locations:

• North Germany: Hamburg and Berlin (2 positions)
• Mid-South Germany: Frankfurt (1 position)
