What are you going to do?
Are you experienced in Python and energized by translating behavioral data into valuable insights for end users? At Nedap Livestock, we’re looking for an analytical and curious colleague to join our Farm Insights team. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team that leverages animal behavior data to make a real impact in the agricultural sector.
In this role, you’ll support the team with various data science projects. This includes contributing ideas and providing technical support to teammates in their day-to-day tasks. You’ll also have space for your own projects, such as analyzing large datasets, building data models, or exploring new techniques. There are no strict deadlines, giving you the time to dive deep into topics within your available hours.

You’ll support and contribute to a range of projects within the team. Your tasks may include:
The Farm Insights team is a multidisciplinary group within Nedap Livestock, consisting of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and software developers. They work closely with solution owners, UX designers, and product specialists. The team develops meaningful insights based on behavioral data from animals, with the goal of supporting farmers worldwide in their daily work. Together, we build smart solutions that shape the future of livestock farming.

- Analyzing: animal behavior data from Nedap’s cloud environment;
- Building: predictive models that support farmers in their daily decision-making;
- Ideating: new data-driven functionalities for end users;
- Collaborating: with colleagues across disciplines (data, UX, software, product);
- Documenting: and visualizing your findings in a clear and structured way.

You also recognize yourself in the following:
- Education: You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Experience: You have experience with programming in Python and setting up Python environments, and you can perform data analysis independently;
- Affinity: You have an interest in or experience with working with large datasets, machine learning, and/or cloud environments is a plus;
- Language: You have a good command of Dutch or English, both spoken and written.
