Data Analyst - Crypto HFT

Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding high-frequency trading (HFT) firm, is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team in Dubai. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with traders, engineers, and data scientists to derive insights from complex datasets and develop scalable analytics solutions.

As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping trading performance and strategic decision-making. You'll take full ownership of analytical workflows-from data exploration and experimental design to dashboard creation and performance monitoring. This opportunity is ideal for a highly educated professional with over 3 years of experience in a technical environment or within the trading sector. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse large-scale trading and market datasets to uncover patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Build and maintain dashboards using BI tools such as to monitor trading KPIs and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with traders and quants to develop custom analytics that enhance strategy and execution.
• Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate trading algorithms, operational changes, and product features.
• Work with time-series data and real-time analytics pipelines to support decision-making at scale.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in trading, fintech, or large-scale tech environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib).
• Experience working with large datasets and time-series data.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Metabase, or similar.
• Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and experimental design.
