Chief Operating Officer (Crypto)

We are looking for an over-achieving Chief Operating Officer (excellent English skills), to join the European Blockchain Convention, one of the largest blockchain events in the world.

Reporting directly to the co-CEOs, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient execution of strategic plans, optimizing processes, and aligning team efforts to drive the company's growth objectives. The COO will play a critical role in ensuring that the organization's operations are aligned with its overall vision and objectives.

The ideal candidate is passionate about finance, technology, events and is ambitious, smart, proactive, hard-working, has a growth mindset, strives for improvement and is a great communicator.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the execution of daily tasks, ensuring that teams are aligned and consistently meet performance standards
• Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives and lead their implementation across the company
• Provide strong leadership to the teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, hard work and high performance
• Establish KPIs, monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Optimize operational processes, systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and profitability
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring that the organization has the necessary skills and capabilities
• Encourage proactive problem-solving within teams
• Mentor and coach team members

Requirements:

• BSc in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or similar position
• Skilled in managing, motivating, and inspiring teams to achieve high performance and exceed goals
• Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strong analytical mindset
• Attention to detail
• Results-oriented person who loves to reach and exceed targets
• Passion for finance, entrepreneurship and technology
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and startup-like environment
• Proactivity
• Prior work or personal interest in blockchain, technology or financial news is a plus
