Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Kotlin, a deep understanding of backend architecture, and proven experience working with cloud services (AWS) and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Kotlin.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend workflows.
• Develop cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
• Containerize applications and deploy them in Kubernetes-managed clusters.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–12 years of professional experience in backend development using Java and Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native design patterns.
• Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
