The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with greeting all visitors, employees and applicants while maintaining the day-to-day administrative function of a highly active Human Resources office. Responsibilities will include maintenance of incoming calls, walk in inquiries, special projects, coordination of certain employee relations events, maintenance of the office environment including administrative responsibilities and assisting with general benefit issues. Additionally, this person will support and assist with the welcoming of new hires, maintaining files and providing support for the employment process.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & HR Support:

  • Provide direct administrative assistance to the Director of Human Resources and General Manager.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and events as needed.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and HR-related correspondence.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and communication.
  • Support pre-employment processes including background checks and reference verification.
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and ensure onboarding materials are current.

Employee Relations & Communication:

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resource.
  • Maintain a visible and supportive presence on the hotel floor to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs.

Compliance & Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files in accordance with legal and company standards.
  • Assist in compliance with labor laws, safety procedures, and corporate policies.
  • Support audit and reporting processes, including monthly HR metrics.

Other Duties:

  • Support training coordination and tracking of mandatory courses and certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Human Resources.
